ELIMITE Cream (permethrin 5%) is a topical scabicidal agent for the treatment of infestation with Sarcoptes Scabiei (scabies), and is active against a broad range of pests including lice, ticks, fleas, mites, and other arthropods.

ELIMITE USES: Elimite is used to treat scabies.

HOW TO USE ELIMITE: Elimite is for use on the skin only. Apply Elimite carefully to the affected area as directed avoiding the eyes, nose and mouth. Massage Elimite into the skin. After 8 to 14 hours, wash off the cream.

ELIMITE SIDE EFFECTS: Itching, tingling, numbness, redness or irritation may occur with Elimite use. If these effects continue, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, burning or swelling skin. If you notice other Elimite effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

ELIMITE PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have other illnesses or any allergies. Elimite should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if Elimite appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

ELIMITE STORAGE: Store Elimite at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store Elimite in the bathroom.

ELIMITE OVERDOSE: If Elimite overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly. Elimite may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, headache, weakness, seizures, and loss of consciousness.

ELIMITE NOTES: One application of Elimite is usually all that is needed. Flush eyes with water immediately should Elimite come into contact with your eyes.
